The 80's saw Caeria able to return to painting after several years intense childrearing. During the 60's and 70's she continued her practice of drawing from life, documenting her life on the smallholding in numerous sketchbooks. The demands of raising a family on a meagre income meant full-time food production skills had to be learned and practised daily - animal husbandry, butter and cheese-making, growing and preserving fruit and vegetables, making hay... all extremely fulfilling and meaningful, but not painting.
